The Darker Truth

The Supreme Court of India has recently banned the usage of all kinds of tinted films on car windows in order to prevent any crime that can occur behind darkened windows.
Exception given for the one made by the manufacturer.

Levels of Tint
Additionally, from May 20,2012, any tint added by the owner has to be removed even if it is within the permissible limit i.e.50% transparency on the side windows and 70% on front and rear windows of the car.

Surprisingly Supreme Court issued this order totally forgetting the sole aim of using tinted glasses for cars.Tinted glasses used on cars not only to increase the effectiveness of air-conditioning but also to block harmful UV rays.

As per a field based study(UV radiation penetrating vehicle glass),tinted glass windows reduces UV radiation exposure by 3.8 times as compared to untinted glass.

Several researchers suggest that exposure to UV rays through car windows is one of the main reason for skin cancer. It was found that rate of cancer was directly relates with the areas of body most often exposed to UV rays while driving; thus proving that those driving cars without tint glasses are more likely to develop skin cancer.
Tint scattering UV ray
In India situation is more worse because UV exposure is 2-3 times greater during the months of summer.
In summary, we have all respect for the Supreme Court of India, which thinks to prevent crime that occurs behind the darkened windows but there is as strong case to contrary the question arises whether they are knowingly increasing the cancer cases in India...?

Talk Of The Town-Nuclear...But what it is???

Nuclear....

When you hear this word, what will come into your mind initially?
Nuclear bomb, radiation, loss of life and even lose to nation. When you get deeper, nuclear electricity, right or wrong arguments and other political issues.

But what nuclear really is?

Every single atom in the universe carries an unimaginably powerful battery within its heart called nucleus.
When a single atom splits into two or two different atoms combine together, energy is produced(according to Einstein's mass energy equation E=mc^2).

This nuclear energy, often called Type-1 fuel, is more powerful than conventions. Type 0 fuel which is of coal, petroleum, natural gas and fossil fuel.

How much powerful nuclear is?

Energy produced by...

1 Kg of Uranium
Million gallons of Gasoline

    =

When you burn Coal of about 10,000 tonnes which can be carried in a large goods train, the energy produced by that coal will be equal to the amount of energy produced by 500 kg of Uranium, which can be carried even in a car boot.

When we use Thorium,an alternative nuclear fuel which is more abundant in India,
we need only 62.5 kg to produce the same amount of energy...

10000 Tones  of coal          =      500 kg of natural uranium             =        62.5 kg of natural thorium

In India, thorium reserves are abundant along the coast of Kerala. If India develops Thorium based technology for power production, there is no need for India to import coal,oil,etc...at higher rates.

Did Graham Bell discovered Telephone???

Centuries back, if you want to contact your loved one, either you have to send messages through pigeons, send messengers or otherwise you have to meet them personally.

But what now??? Just one Phone call!!!

Whom do you want to say thanks? Is that Alexander Graham Bell, who discovered telephone???

Alexander Graham Bell was granted a patent for his invention on March 7, 1876 and his device could transmit speech electrically. Bell and Watson were the first to transmit speech one could understand.

But are you sure that he was the first person to discover telephone?
No one else ever tried with that work before???

It is Antonio Meucci...

The great Italian inventor filed a patent caveat (temporary right for the invention) in 1874 for an invention he later called the "teletrofono" involving electronic communications. He was unable to raise sufficient funds to pay his way through the patent application process. So he can't register his invention permanently.

In March 1876, Alexander Graham Bell, who conducted experiments in the same laboratory where Meucci's materials had been stored, was granted a patent and was thereafter credited with inventing the telephone.

Finally, if Meucci had been able to pay the $10 fee to maintain the caveat after 1874, no patent could have been issued to Graham Bell.
